Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this survey is to examine military mental health service use of junior army officers.

Methods: The study included 381 Army officers serving for the army less then 5 years and working for the Army infantry division. A self-reported online survey was used to assess general characteristics, military mental health service use, satisfaction, and needs.

Results: The military mental health service use of junior army officers was low. but their satisfaction was high. The needs on the military mental health service on army junior officers appeared as a guarantee of anonymity and communication education. The highest needs of mental health treatment was ¡®Operating mental health military hospital and emergency room¡¯.

Conclusion: This study was attempted to stimulate the discussion by noting the importance of mental health of junior army officers. The suitable mental health management system for the army should be established after conducting more detailed surveys and research.
